The Endurance 35 is a highly regarded long-distance cruiser, renowned for its versatility and classic lines. Built over the last 40 years by both amateur and professional builders, more than 750 of these yachts have been launched worldwide, constructed from wood, steel, ferrocement, and GRP. The Endurance 35 can be rigged as either a cutter or ketch, and its specifications, originally designed by Peter Ibold, can vary depending on the builder's preferences.
With a length overall of 12 meters (39.37 ft) including the bow sprit, the Endurance 35 offers a range of interior design options, making each yacht uniquely suited to the needs and tastes of its owner. Extensively refitted in 2017-2018 for participation in the Golden Globe 2018 race. Before the race, a major refit was completed at a Spanish shipyard, with strength tests, new rigging, ballast, and rudder installed. New North Sails, a Volvo Penta D2-40 engine, solar panels, radio, windvane, hydrogenerator, emergency rudder, and fittings for emergency sail rigging were also added.
All work was completed with a no-expense-spared approach, making her truly unique – a ‘Land Rover Defender 4x4 of the ocean.’
In 2023, after returning to the Mediterranean, additional work was done including refreshing the cabin interior, treating the teak deck, installing new portholes, custom-made mattresses, AIS and other equipment.
Total cost for rebuilding and refiting exceeded €350,000, making this offer a remarkable opportunity.
